Our Programs

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

We offer professional development on a multitude of best practices to include, but not limited to: deconstructing standards, writing/defining learning targets/objectives, purposefully using data to make a change in student outcomes, and teaching with excellence.

Our professional development sessions are hands on sessions with teachers taking away usable strategies for their classrooms.

We are teachers at the Nehemiah Project. We get the need for useful professional development days.

Curriculum Development

We develop lessons based on the needs of each of our clients. The process takes time. We meet with the organization to identify their specific needs.

Once these are identified we lay out categories and then start developing lessons. We use research proven best practices to write each lesson.

We also algin lessons to various assessments for independent living. Each lesson has a measurable outcome so you can actually collect data from the lesson. Data helps our organizations track progress, identify weaknesses and strengths of clients, and focus areas for additional work.

Our Mission

To stand in the gap and create hope for under-served communities by creating opportunities to access resources like custom designed lessons, and learning that supports individual success.

It is the belief of The Nehemiah Project that under-served populations of people do not have the same access to resources that you and I may have. I was fortunate enough to go to school, college and graduate school. My parents were not wealthy but they knew the value of an education. The Nehemiah Project works with organizations where people have had a rough road. Many are homeless, abused, lost, and have no idea how to move forward in their lives. Everyone deserves to have a path to healthy living. We provide that opportunity through curriculum development for organizations that serve the homeless, youth in transition and trafficked women to create that pathway. It is amazing to watch confidence build in people once they have tools to live productive lives. Whether that is a classroom teacher, a homeless teen or adult or a women recovering from severe trauma.
